We chose the newly opened Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur — right in the city, near the Petronas Towers — for the night that matters most to us. Join us in the Junior Ballroom for a Chinese banquet, a proper feast, and a lot of celebrating.

Travel Logistics
To help families coordinate their stays in Kuala Lumpur, we have compiled key arrival guides and hotel arrangements.
Arrival Flight
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA / KUL) is the main gateway, approximately 50–60 minutes by car from the venue. Subang Airport (SZB) is closer but handles fewer international flights. Grab or hotel transfers are easy to arrange.
Hotel Booking
A preferential wedding rate has been arranged only at the Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur (the venue itself) — kindly mention the "Gubgib-Jason Wedding" when you book. Guests are welcome to stay nearby at hotels such as Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur and The RuMa Hotel and Residences, both within easy reach of the venue.
City & Venue Guidance
Kuala Lumpur in November is warm and humid, averaging 28–32°C (82–90°F) with the occasional afternoon thunderstorm. The reception is fully indoors and air-conditioned, so formal attire suits the setting (think suits and gowns) — a thin wrap is handy if you run cold. The venue sits in Bukit Bintang, KL's liveliest dining and shopping district: Pavilion Mall, Jalan Alor's late-night food street, and Changkat's bars are all a short walk away. Getting around is easiest by Grab (Malaysia's rideshare) or the MRT; the Waldorf concierge is happy to arrange private transfers on request.
The Registry
"Your presence is our present."
Sharing the day with the people we love is gift enough.
If you'd still like to honour the occasion, we'd be touched to receive an angpow — the Malaysian way of wishing a couple a blessed start. Look for the kotak angpow / angpow box at the reception entrance, or pass it to any of our wedding party on the night.
Joining us from overseas? A note or a kind word in our guestbook means just as much.
